And I'm a little upset that the PS3 version of Orange Box hasn't got the Team Fortress 2 updates yet, and probably never will.
I don't care if Valve and EA are blaming each other for this mess, I paid money for that game just as anyone else did. Game developers/publishers should always put the customers first, regardless of platform.
We gamers don't exist for the sake of game companies, the game companies exist for the sake of us gamers.
I'm one of those guys who used the said external application, >>
It's silly though, because I used them for the last three updates too, and they never did anything about it then. All the "application" does is move some .dat files around, which honestly doesn't seem that dubious to me.
Anyways, it's really easy to get around their ban for anyone who was smart enough to use the application in the first place...lol
@aw3str1k3r: "Lazy dick"? Oh please. It's not as if he's being given some kind of unfair special competitive edge by doing this. Frankly, the notion of unlockables that don't offer any straight-up objective advantage in gameplay is downright fucking retarded.
@fnool: If they don't offer any objective advantage, then why the hell are all you people so cracked out over it every update? I stopped playing soon after the updates started coming because I couldn't stand how ridiculous you've all become over it. Unlockables, ZOMG! Exploit! Exploit! Need moar gunz! "Achievement servers"? Seriously? Just play the damn game! Your life doesn't depend on this sh*t.
Doesn't seem like it's a big deal (Unless they're using god mode or infinite bullets or no-clip cheats) I guess I don't know what's going on here, are they just unlocking the new guns? Is that a problem?
@Bernoulli: Its a big deal because all these people suck at the game. Our servers kept getting people who would join and then you would see the message that they unlocked all achievements (even before they spawn). Then they try to play scout and can't even get 3 kills in 30 minutes of playing. It was fun perma banning them from our servers and reporting them to Valve though.
@jookie: If you're actually playing the game rather than creating servers / playing in achievement servers, you're sure as hell going to take longer than 1 hour to get them all.
